A wide mouth Chancay burial figure with other worldly features including thin arms and divine eyes. Nice details including a large disk earring, necklace and head covering. Handmade, Slipped and Painted Terracotta clay pottery. Marked as an official replica of Pre-Colombian Chancay burial art pottery. Lots of color and textural interest. This is an NOS New Old Stock item from a shop in Santa Fe, NM, that closed around 1985 and has been in storage since then. See the photos.
Has an ARTE CHANCAY Peru impress under the foot. The back has a partial and unclear stamp with a handwritten model number and artifact number in black marker.
